Auto-Subs - What Works?
Forgive me if this is common knowledge, it's been a while since I've taken a trip down the EA Sports sliders rabbit hole.
I was playing a game against an FCS team last night and wanted to have the game rotate my players automatically for me during the game. Within Dynasty, I increased all the auto-subs sliders +10 from their default values before I started my game. During the game, I honestly didn't see any substitutions at all. This despite the FCS team sustaining some drives running flexbone triple option and some timely QB scrambles; I was in 4-4 nearly the entire game on defense.
How much do I need to increase the auto-subs sliders to see any effects here? Assume a default value on all other sliders, currently playing on All American difficulty.

Re: Auto-Subs - What Works?
My current setup that's a total WIP and is just copied over from what I used in Madden is:
QB 0/1 RB 85/92 WR 80/87 FB/TE 75/82 OL 0/1
DT 85/92 DE 85/92 LB 75/82 CB 75/82 S 75/82
But note that I also play with fatigue at 72 right now, so my player tire faster, but I am getting rotation at all the positions I want at frequencies around where I want.

I tried to use these... i think people should know left side it out and right side is in because if you put HB Subs in at 85 max you can go for out is 84

Does the wear and tear feature cause the AI to sub at all?

Re: Auto-Subs - What Works?
My initial thoughts after a few days of testing is this game seems to have a carry over issue from madden when it comes to auto subs.
I've had to increase fatigue up to 70 so far....
Problem is if mess up on the auto sub settings you start to lose guys in the 2nd half for the remainder of the games.
So I'm going through most rosters this week and looking at players stamina ratings to help me with auto sub settings

Re: Auto-Subs - What Works?
Gentlemen, this has been a unicorn weve been chasing for over a decade. The last time auto subs work properly in an EA football game was madden 16 and madden 12 its been fubar ever since.
If you guys are able to come up with a set of auto subs, I will sing your graces up and down and sideways. Good luck. And God bless you and our troops.

The Auto-Sub settings consist of two main values: Sub-In and Sub-Out. The Sub-In value determines the fatigue level at which a player will be substituted back into the game, while the Sub-Out value dictates when a player will be taken out due to fatigue.
The default is set to 80. Adjust the slider to change the frequency of Wide Receivers being substituted out during a game. This option has a value range of 0 to 99. The default is set to 60.
Written by Engineering. Player AutoSubs is a league setting that allows team managers to designate substitute players for their starters. If a starter is inactive for their game, the designated substitute will automatically be placed in the starting lineup.
Auto subs are carried out based on the bench priority you assign to each of your players. The player on position “1” will be auto subbed first, and so on. An auto sub is not to be confused with a power sub. Players on the bench, with auto sub priorities from 1 to 3.
Adjust the slider to change the frequency of Quarterbacks being substituted in during a game. This option has a value range of 0 to 100. The default is set to 80. Adjust the slider to change the frequency of Running Backs being substituted out during the game period.
Go to franchise settings & turn progressive fatigue off, then gameplay settings and fatigue slider down to zero. Last go to manage staff -> auto sub: turn ALL “sub out” sliders all the way to 0 so your starters aren't subbed out. Last step is what fixed it for me.
It sounds like this might be related to player fatigue. If Progressive Fatigue and Auto Sub are both enabled the players with high fatigue might be automatically getting subbed with the backups. You should be able to disable Progressive Fatigue and set all the sub sliders to 0 under Auto Sub in the Franchise settings.
This is the kind of feedback that prompted us to do all the work needed to incorporate this feature in Madden NFL 24. We're excited about the introduction of formation subs is a great illustration of our community's passion working together to bring an inclusion into the game.
What is the use of the on/off automatic switch ("Auto On/Off") of the active subwoofer? The On/Off switch is a power-saving standby switch. The switch must be set to "On" or "1" to activate the standby. The subwoofer is activated as soon as it receives a strong bass signal.
The prefix sub-, with its variants which all begin with su-, is a prolific part of the English language. Examples using this prefix include subway, suffer, supply, and suggest. An easy way to remember that the prefix sub- means “under” is through the word submarine, or a vehicle that travels “under” the sea.
Simply open the Pause menu -> select the Coaching menu -> look for the Depth Chart option –> choose the player you want to replace –> select the substitute.
NCAA soccer has an unlimited substitution rule with a few restrictions. Teams can substitute as much as they want but there is no reentry for a player in the first half, one re-entry in the second half and no re-entry if there is an overtime (NCAA Tournament only).
