We knew the Miami Dolphins had speed, but Madden 25 player ratings show just how fast (2024)

The Miami Dolphins have a reputation for being the fastest team in the NFL. The Madden 25 player ratings would seem to agree.

EA Sports is rolling out its player ratings for the latest installment in the popular football video game this week. The fastest positions had all been revealed with the cornerbacks Thursday (though Lamar Jackson's was certainly worth monitoring). One thing is clear: The Dolphins are fast. Like, REALLY fast.

Five Dolphins have speed ratings at 95 or higher. Only eight other teams have multiple players with speed that high, and the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers are the only ones with three 95s in speed.

Tyreek Hill was granted access to the vaunted "99 Club" with a 99 overall rating. It's no surprise that his speed rating is also 99, the highest mark granted in the game. But he's not the fastest Dolphin by much: Fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle was right behind him with 97 speed.

In all, 17 Dolphins have speed ratings in the 90s. They have the two fastest running backs in the game with De'Von Achane (96) and Raheem Mostert, whose 95 ties him with the 49ers' Isaac Guerendo for second. Six wide receiver are in the 90s, including newcomer Odell Beckham Jr. (91) and rookie and former track star Anthony Schwartz (96).

The Dolphins boast the fastest player at three positions: wide receiver (Hill), running back (Achane) and left tackle (Terron Armstead). They also have 11 players in the top 5 for speed in their positions, most on the offensive side. Outside linebackers Chop Robinson and Quinton Bell are Miami's fastest defenders by position, and Jason Sanders is among the fastest kickers.

The Madden 25 worldwide release is Friday, August 16. Those who preorder the Deluxe Edition or who ordered the MVP Bundle will have access Tuesday, August 13.
